Hildebrandt Equipment GmbH is part of the Hildebrandt Group with a group turnover of 45 million euros, 200 employees throughout Europe and 30 of them in steel construction in Schwerin. In addition to steel cable drums, associated equipment and technical equipment for industry, we also offer comprehensive engineering and services.

150 JAHRE TRADITION

2019

Hildebrandt equipment gmbh is founded and starts with an experienced team: from left Patrick Teichert, Tobias Krethe, managing director Karsten Schulz-Benthien and Lars Sabban.

2010

The range of products is expanded. an in-house steel construction production facility is built in schwerin/wittenförden.

2010

Sabine von Köppen and Mathias Lohraff are the fifth generation to succeed the company. They become managing directors alongside Gerhard Lohraff and Uwe Wenkel.

1990

Reprivatisation and establishment of modern cable drum production with assembly locations in Germany, France and the Netherlands. The company becomes Europe's largest one stop-service provider for cable reels and equipment.

1972

The family business is expropriated and redefined as part of the VEB Holzindustrie (nationally owned enterprise in the former GDR). Gerhard Lohraff remains Manager of Operations under difficult conditions.

1968

Gerhard Lohraff takes over the management of the company in the fourth generation. Under pressure from the GDR government, the company is converted to a wooden cable drum production.

1868

August Hildebrandt founds a sawmill and carpentry workshop in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany

Our corporate policy is based on the notion of sustainability, taking into consideration economic, environmental and social aspects.

We see sustainability and economy as an investment in innovative technologies tailored to the market and consistently monitor the profitable orientation of our company. A broadly based system of quality management is something we are committed to voluntarily.

We guarantee reliability for our customers thanks to a broadly based production and assembly network. We also see sustainability and ecology as a contribution towards improving the environmental balance.

Our production uses green power from a regional biogas plant. We use PEFC-certified wood and pay close attention to occupational safety.
For us, sustainability and sociology means strengthening the principle of cooperation within the team. We encourage our employees to undergo further training and we are careful to adhere to our self-imposed code of ethics. Inclusion is something we practise on a daily basis.
